Today when we are gripped by the cruel enemy, we need to orient back to the principles, dynamics and the scheme of actions of the Prophet (Peace Be upon Him) and his four rightly guided Caliphs. Apart from that stream, the personality of Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) is a living inspiration for youth, not only his personality but his administrative innovation, intense justice, welfare steps, techniques and regulations are some what outstanding through out the history. That is the only reason that non Muslims although who are bitter to Islam, praise Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) as;
'Umar was a very pious individual who applied the laws of Islam sternly both to himself and others and no Muslim would stand against him.' (David Norcliffe)
In 634AD, Respected Abu bakar (May Allah be please with Him) appointed Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) as his successor. During his era the Islamic empire grew in its dimensions with no parallel, it is all because of the potential that had been bestowed before the rule of Respected Umar(May Allah be please with Him) but huge credit also goes to him. His golden words are source of inspiration when he took the oath:
'Oh Allah! I am stern make me polite, I am weak make me strong. Ya! Arabians are rebellious camels whose bridle is in my hand, but i would guide them on the right path.'
This intensive speech shows us very important dimension; the rulers are the directors of any nation, the mob or public can simply be referred as camels, they don't have the insight of what is going, they just follow the leaders. So public is some how responsible for what is going all over but the rulers and elite class is most accountable for that. So this approach is absurd that public and every individual of the society is responsible for the disastrous environment that surrounds us. This is the approach of Prophet (peace be upon him) and the caliphs.
Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) was fond of poetic works, he had profound analysis on the poets of Arab, sometimes he himself illustrated poetry. Respected Umar(May Allah be please with Him) was the most intelligent and the person of broad opinion and deep understanding, his verification of extensive opinions is enough verified that most of his opinions become Islamic Ordinances for instance the way of conducting Azan is adapted from his view. He always listened to Quran with profound and deep stance and on every Verse he paid a broad concentration as he was a religious director. He had a great demonstration and approach over Quran.
When Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) became the second Caliph of Muslim ummah, he ruled the ummah with great generosity and courage, his system of Caliphate depends upon the following features:
1 Laws were made from Quran and Sunnah.
2 Ensurance of equity and justice for everyone.
3 Fraternity among muslims was observed.
4 The administration is responsible for liability.
5 Shura(Forum of discussion) was there which was recognized and effective body.
6. Introduction of different military techniques.
7 Desire of administration is forbidden and prohibited.
8 The presence of Cause before the Islamic Empire.
9 The right of spreading good and stopping evil had been fulfilled.
10 The establishment of elected khilafat .
11 The establishment of bait ul mal with its true concept and vision i.e the deposited money should be utilized in the welfare of public.
12 The establishment of a state which was free of racism 'asbiat'.
13 Different peace treaties with different nations providing them complete security to there place of worships.
14 State policy: Acting with great tolerance and friendship towards other states.
15 The establishment of check and balance accounting governmental bodies.
During the era of Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) most of the places of world were conquered. This includes a long list of Iraq, Iran, Egypt and Syria. This is due to the dynamic and glorious leadership of Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) that the biggest power of the world that time came under the flag of Islam.
With shadow of no doubt, Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) is not only a great hero of Islam but also for the whole world. He implemented the true concept and vision of Islam. He established the sovereignty of Islamic laws not rules of people. He is remarkable ideal personality. Muslim youth should place Caliphate of Respected Umar (May Allah be please with Him) and him as their ideals and sources of inspiration to build leading administrative character and to rule over the world.
