The place was first ruled by the Mughals, and then was overpowered by the nawabs during the reign of the British Empire. No matter what happened, whatever change came in the country, this city accepted it with ease.
If you visit Lucknow, you will just see that almost every culture is present here, be it Punjabi, Bengali, south Indian etc.
You can call Lucknow as mini India, i.e. ‘Unity in Diversity’.
